frequently asked questions

What is Cosmetic Tattoo?

Cosmetic tattooing is a semi-permanent makeup technique that implants pigment into the skin to enhance your natural features. The most popular treatments include Nano Brows, Lip Blushing, and Eyeliner Tattoo, all designed to give you long-lasting, beautiful results and simplify your daily routine.

Who should avoid Cosmetic Tattoo?

You should avoid cosmetic tattooing if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking blood thinners, or have certain skin or eye conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis, or conjunctivitis). Always consult with your artist and, if needed, your doctor before booking.

What Should I Do Before My Appointment?

Avoid alcohol and blood thinners for 24 hours before your session.

Do not use lip products if you’re having Lip Blushing. If you have dry lips you can do an an overnight lip mask the night before.

Come with clean skin and no makeup on the treatment area. If you did not have a consult appointment (brows only) please come with your brows made up how you like them so we can see your goal shape and or colour.

Discuss any medical conditions or medications with your artist beforehand.

What is Nano Brow Tattoo?

Nano Brows is a technique that uses a fine needle and tattoo machine to create hyper-realistic, hair-like strokes. It’s ideal for all skin types, especially oily or sensitive skin and results in a natural, fluffy look with less trauma to the skin compared to traditional microblading.

Who is a good candidate?

Cosmetic tattooing is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance their natural features, reduce their daily makeup routine, or address issues like patchy brows, thinning lips, or uneven lash lines. It’s especially beneficial for those with allergies to traditional cosmetics or active lifestyles.

How do I maximise my results?

Follow all aftercare instructions provided in your aftercare pack.

Keep the area clean and moisturised as recommended.

Avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen on healed tattoos.

Do not pick at scabs or apply makeup to the treated area until fully healed.

Attend your touch-up session to ensure long-lasting, beautiful results.

How long do results last?

Nano Brows: 1–3 years (with regular touch-ups recommended for best results).

Lip Blushing: 2–3 years.

Eyeliner Tattoo: 3–5 years.

Results vary depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.

What should I expect during healing?

Healing varies by procedure but generally involves some swelling, redness, and mild discomfort in the first few days. Scabbing and peeling are normal, and it’s important not to pick at the area to avoid damaging your results. Color may initially appear darker and then lighten as the skin heals. Full healing takes 4–6 weeks, with a touch-up session recommended to perfect the results
